Rookwood
Sound collected an award at the 15th Understanding
Disability Awards 2009 run by the Cardiff and The Vale
Parents Federation. The
awards are handed out to individuals, groups or
organisations that have made outstanding efforts to
involve a person with a learning disability in everyday
life.
The winners included: Bute Cottage Nursery (School)
Rookwood Sound Hospital Broadcasting (Local Group)
Sara Pickard (Individual)
The Welsh Assembly Government (Employer)
and Emily Howells (Child/Group of Children)
Steve Allen, Rookwood Sound's chief executive was at the
awards ceremony in Barry to collect our award. Pictured
is Steve Allen collecting the award, and Richard Malcolm
who attended Rookwood Sound.
