Italian Escape – With Bruna Chezzi – Saturday 10 – 12
Bruna Chezzi was born in Italy and lived with her parents for 23 years until she came to Wales in 2001 to continue my studies at Cardiff University.
Her first job here was teaching Italian to undergraduates and also to adults. She soon became involved with the large Welsh Italian community and helped raising awareness and funds for Wales’s first Arandora Star Memorial commemorating the 53 Welsh Italians who died in the tragic sinking of the Arandora Star during WW2. In 2013. She obtained her PhD from Cardiff University on the subject of the Italian community in Wales.
She has also been a specialist guest speaker in many TV and Radio programs.
Bruna joined Rookwood Sound in 2015 as she has always wanted to work on the radio and have her own show, as well as do something useful for the community. She enjoys entertaining people and spreading her knowledge and passion for her birth country, Italy.
A few years ago, she found my love here in Wales, and today, she is a proud mum of a gorgeous little Welsh Italian. Her duty now is to make sure he has the best of the two cultures!
Bruna`s show is an Italian escape! Every Saturday morning, 10-12pm for a bit or art, history, food and romance in true Italian style! She takes us on a trip across the beautiful and inspiring regions of her home country. She will be sharing her special classic Italian recipes for a healthy lunch. She also introduces us to a new Italian singer or musician. She entertains with an eclectic medley of songs from my world of music.
Check out Bruna talking on her Saturday show about her love of Wales and the Six Nations 2019
